Haven (The Hub)
Confirmed (Official)Haven is the central hub area, confirmed by name in a Paraglacial dev blog. It is where the Druid regroups, prepares, and sets out into Solace.
The central hub in Fatekeeper is named Haven. It is the safe place you return to between expeditions into Solace — the spot to regroup, prep, and head back out. Paraglacial confirmed the name in an official Steam dev blog titled “Haven – The Hub of Fatekeeper.”
If you’ve seen this place called the “Sanctuary of First Flame” somewhere, ignore it. That name is fan-invented. The official hub is Haven, full stop. (More on that below.)
What a hub is, and why it matters
Most RPGs with a focused story give you a home base — a single area that resets the pace between fights. You come back to breathe, manage your build, sort your gear, and pick where to go next. In Fatekeeper, that role belongs to Haven.
Solace is a hostile, corrupted world. Haven is the counterweight: the calm node at the center of your loop. Expect the usual hub rhythm — return, recover, prepare, set out again.
What’s actually confirmed about Haven
Here’s the honest line on what Paraglacial has officially stated versus what we’re still waiting on:
| Detail | Status |
|---|---|
| The hub exists and is named Haven | Confirmed (official dev blog, named in every press release) |
| It functions as the game’s central hub | Confirmed |
| Specific services (merchants, NPCs, upgrade stations, etc.) | Not yet confirmed in extractable text — the dev blog’s body renders via JavaScript and the in-page details weren’t captured first-party |
So we can tell you with confidence what Haven is — the hub, by name — but we’re deliberately not listing out merchant stalls, NPC rosters, or upgrade benches as if they were confirmed. When those details land from a direct read of the official blog or in-game, this page gets them.
The “Sanctuary of First Flame” mix-up
A fan wiki calls the home base the “Sanctuary of First Flame” and describes it as a “respawn point, upgrade station, and lore hub.” That description got attached to the wrong name. The official hub blog assigns the hub role to Haven — so the fan site essentially took Haven’s function and slapped an invented name on it.
This is the cleanest example of why named locations need a source check: the function is roughly right, the name is fabricated. See the debunk callout below for the full list of invented place names floating around.
